Mail-in Sharpening

Don't live near by? No problem! Mail us your scissors and we’ll sharpen them at our shop.  Your shears will be restored to as close to perfect as can be*.  Return shipping is always free! We’ll have them on their way back to you usually within 24 hours of receiving them and ALWAYS within 48 hours.

Any comments you include about the nature of the issue with your shears will be helpful in terms of diagnostics and repair. Be sure to include your e-mail and phone in case we need to talk before the repair.

  • Shipping & Returns

    You are responsbile for mail-in costs. UPS, DSL, carrier pigeon...How you ship it is up to you but please keep in mind it's is very helpful for us to have a tracking number!  Your shears will be returned to you via USPS Priority mail at no additional charge. You’ll receive a notice when they are sent, including tracking numbers.

    We’ll treat your tools as the investments that they are. No short cuts taken!

  • Additional Info

    *Scissors damaged in previous sharpening or shears incorrectly sharpened may never be fully restored. Once a scissors has had too much steel removed, it can’t be put back on. We will not attempt a repair a severely damaged scissors without contacting you first. In these cases, we’ll often return your scissors and your money. If a pair of scissors needs replacement parts or major corrective work from previous damage, additional charges may apply, but we’re really fair.
